The tale of Alien Hominid stretches far back beyond its home console status and has garnered a very strong fan-based over the years, culminating in a recent Game Boy Advance version being released. The art style is iconic and unique, and even now there are new ports and HD versions of the game. ReviewĪlien Hominid is an amazing title, it's proof of what older indie games could be. But Alien Hominid stood close to those roots into this crazy storm of aliens. By the time of release, even classic sagas like Contra were trying to adapt to a newer game style, while actually betraying the roots of the game itself. Full of fighting stickman games and mini versions of real games, it could be repetitive to go through the games available there. That's why there are weird bosses and monsters throughout the game.īy the time the first version of Alien Hominid appeared in Newgrounds, most of the games on the platform were pretty basic. But of course, it wouldn't be real mayhem without all kinds of different enemies to face. The main enemies of the game are FBI guys and soldiers and secret service agents. Basically, you're an Alien that lands on Earth, then start raising mayhem. About the gameĪlien Hominid's plot is simple enough to be enjoyable but not enough to be boring or unplayable.
